Historic Preservation Specialist

Cameron holds Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Historic Preservation, with a concentration in architectural conservation.

She has a diverse background working with historic buildings—as a historic site curator, in restoration contracting, researching technical conservation and the built environment, and, as a consultant, performing condition assessments and designing and overseeing repair programs. Prior to moving to Philadelphia, she worked for 9 years in Charleston, SC, both in the field for restoration contractors and as a curator at Drayton Hall, an 18th-century historic site. Before joining J&M Preservation Studio, she worked at Klein and Hoffman as part of the A/E Group, performing condition assessment and façade inspections, and designing façade repair and roof replacement programs.

Cameron serves on the Board of Directors of the Association for Preservation Technology Delaware Valley Chapter,and is the Chair of the Hutchinson House Committee for the Edisto Island Open Land Trust in South Carolina, which consults on the restoration and interpretation of one of the oldest surviving houses built by African Americans during the Reconstruction Era on Edisto Island.
